We are deeply concerned for the millions of Ukrainians and European who are now living under imminent threat and danger because of the war in their countries. As a society and community, we must condemn all violence and the military attacks on infrastructure, homes, civilians and innocent people.
We all have endured so much those last two years with a global pandemic, increased geopolitical and economic uncertainty, and the resulting amazing challenges for we all. This war is incomprehensible and creates a feeling of powerlessness and stupidity. So many of us want to help but there is little most of us are not close to the regions more affected. For our main shareholders, supporting humanitarian aid through financial contributions is the best way we know to give our support to the people of Ukraine and Europe. We encourage everyone to donate to organizations that are personally meaningful. No amount is too small and will make a difference. The need will be lasting, and beyond the immediate need for food, shelter, and medical support, the rebuilding of infrastructure, homes and work will take time and more funding.
At Opencap Global and associates, we have already received a phenomenal response from our team to the main Foundations initiatives to provide funding to support relief efforts. These foundations are supporting The Red Cross, Save the Children, Global Giving, and nice others. We invite you all to join us in supporting these organizations who are providing much help and needed relief.
In addition, we, our partnerships and associates are now working closely on incremental initiatives with local non-government organizations (NGOS) on the ground in Ukraine and bordering countries in Europe. Their focus is to deliver much needed aid and assistance to Ukrainians seeking refuge in neighboring countries and help reunite the displaced families of our global colleagues working outside theirs original countries.
Our teams’ safety remains our number one priority and we are committed to providing our European employees within and outside of affected countries with the support and resources they need in such difficult times.
We wish a full and speedy return to peace in region and world. We are in awe of the remarkable resolve and courage of the Ukrainian people, our European employees, and the unprecedented global response to the conflict, and we hope that a permanent ceasefire can be achieved soon.
Kind regards,
Opencap Global Leaders
